Healing on all levels!
At the Wholistic Wellness Clinic & Spa, we strive to help people better understand the importance of the mind/body connection to their health care. We believe a wholistic approach to wellness is necessary. Typically, you see that word spelled “holistic” rather than “wholistic.” The latter more accurately reflects what we do at Wholistic Wellness Clinic & Spa. We look at the whole person (not the “hole”) and then craft a treatment plan. Our Clinic & Spa strives to be "green" and as natural as possible with all of our services. We feature all natural facial products — Aroma Bella and carry Norwex cleaning products for a chemical free environment.
As a chiropractic clinic our philosophy is to help people with wellness. Our Mission is to help you regain your inner strength, physically, emotionally and nutritionally. We want to help you be the BEST you can be.
Wholistic Wellness is a fee-for-service practice. We will provide the insurance forms you need to submit to your insurance provider, if you choose. For specific service fees, please call 319.365.1141.

Dr. Kristin Lichty - Doctor of Chiropractic / Certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider
Since I can remember, I always wanted to work in the health field and help others to feel their best. My journey to the chiropractic profession started in middle school with a sports injury that kept me from doing what I love. After making little progress, my Dad brought me to my very first visit to the chiropractor. That visit left a lasting impression because I knew that was the kind of compassion and holistic approach I wanted to bring to my patients one day.
I believe in the power of the human body, and our innate ability to function and heal. As a chiropractor, I want to aid my patient's body so they possess this full expression of life and health. By removing interferences to their nervous system, correcting muscular and skeletal imbalances, recognizing deficiencies, and guiding to make healthier lifestyle changes, my goal is to create an individualized and holistic care plan for each patient.
As a collegiate athlete, I have had my share of injuries, and I know the impact that regular chiropractic care and nutrition had to keep me performing at an optimal level. Most importantly, it kept me in the game and doing what I love. When I care for a patient, I want to create an atmosphere of teamwork, so they can get back to enjoying what it is that they love without having to worry about pain, re-injury, and illness. Being part of someone's journey to wellness is a passion of mine and the reason why I am a chiropractor today.
Along with chiropractic care, I incorporate Active Release Technique (ART) as a certified provider, and exercise therapies to speed up recovery time and reduce the chances of re-injury. I also utilize Nutritional Response Testing and supplementation to ensure that any nutritional deficiencies are recognized so the body has the proper nutrients to carry out its many functions to their full potential. I am currently pursuing my Acupuncture certification, and I am very excited to integrate it into my patient care. I am very excited to be a part of an all-encompassing practice like Wholistic Wellness Clinic where I know each patient's needs can be met and expectations will be exceeded. We are all part of a family here on a mission to get and keep our patients well.

Julie Seckman - Clinical Nutritionist and Fitness Professional
Throughout my life, fitness and nutrition have been my driving force—the reason behind my decision to pursue athletic training at San Diego State University as well as to become an ACE-Gold Certified Health and Fitness Specialist, Golf Conditioning Coach and Nutrition Specialist. It also led to Dr. Cooper and I developing our new nutrition and diet protocol, based on Nutrition Response Testing ™. My passion continues to grow as I witness patients improve their quality of life by incorporating nutritional supplements, dietary changes and fitness into their daily routine. I feel blessed to be part of an organization that helps people to feel better.
Heather Bonner - Front Office Manager
My role is to ensure the office runs smoothly and that our patients have an enjoyable experience at every visit. Nine years experience in the healthcare industry has taught me the importance of meeting individual patients needs and treating the entire person. Most of my experience thus far has been in traditional healthcare which has actually helped me to have a better understanding and appreciation of the wholistic approach. All to often during my years in traditional healthcare I observed patients being prescribed lengthy lists of medications with side-effects to treat symptoms rather than treating the over all person and addressing the underlying issues.
Health and the well being of others is a passion for me and I truly feel that the approach that Dr. Cooper and the rest of our staff takes has much merit and will truly benefit our patients overall health. I appreciate the fact that we acknowledge a balance between wholistic and traditional medicine and we strive to educate others of the benefits of physical, mental, and emotional well being.
I am so excited and blessed to be a part of the Wholistic Wellness team, because of the amazing and caring people I get to work with and it is such a positive and fun environment. Please know that you can come to me with any questions, comments, concerns, as I am here to meet your healthcare needs in any way that I can and I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to meet your needs.
Theresa Gries - Patient Advocate
For five years, I worked in the fitness industry in a variety of positions, from personal trainer to group fitness instructor to an assistant manager. I always knew, though, that there was so much more to achieving a healthy body than merely working out. That's why I was excited to come to work at Wholistic Wellness. As a patient advocate, I help patients answer any questions they have on their quest to wellness. Here, we have everything a patient might need, all under one roof. I'm amazed at the gamut of services we offer. It's been satisfying to help others on their road to health, as well as to find the right nutrition and wellness program for me and my family.

Sally Koenigs - Office and Chiropractic Assistant
I have a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Iowa. I worked in the retail industry, but took time off to raise my now school-age children. As I learn more about the health field, I realize that rarely does a patient have one specific problem. Often, it’s a series of connected medical issues that cannot all be addressed with one type of treatment. Wholistic Wellness addresses the health of each patient with a wider scope, focusing on physical, mental, and emotional issues to provide as much care as possible. That's the way I like to approach my relationships with friends, family, and our patients so the clinic is a good fit for me.

Hannah Jo Wiles - Chiropractic Assistant
I chose to work at Wholistic Wellness because I believe that we have the tools and training to assist our patients on their path to complete health and wellness. Our tools are alternative, non-invasive and non-medicated ways of getting the body to RESET itself to normal homeostasis. If we provide the body with the right tools it can fix itself. I work in environment that promotes healthy living and can't imagine being anywhere else.
